What Is Vivistim Therapy?

Vivistim Therapy is a rehabilitation system that pairs therapist-guided exercises with mild stimulation of the vagus nerve, a major communication pathway between the brain and body.

The therapy is intended for eligible stroke survivors who continue to experience weakness or limited function in their arm and hand following a stroke.

During treatment sessions, stimulation is delivered while patients perform specific therapeutic movements, helping the brain strengthen important neural pathways associated with recovery.

How Does It Work?

The human brain has a remarkable ability to adapt and reorganize following injury. This process, known as neuroplasticity, is the foundation of neurological recovery.

Vivistim Therapy works by:
